VR Troopers Episode 08 Review - Computer Captive

Grimlord is one sick son of a server. His newest scheme is to plant a virus in every computer that creates a portal to his virtual dungeon. Whoever stands near the portal will be sucked into the dungeon and drained of their life force until something really bad happens to the victim. Can the VR Troopers stop the virus before anyone is seriously harmed by it? Click 'Read More' below to find out.

Overall Opinion: Light recommendation. Even though nothing significant happens, the fight scenes were unique when compared to previous episodes and the pacing was really good.

To hammer home the moral story of the episode, the Troopers, Master Tao, and Carl Ziktor talk about the wonders as well as the dangers of computers for nearly two minutes. Between you and me, I agree that computers are scary. Ziktor transforms into Grimlord and reveals his plan to concoct a virus that will snatch the Troopers during a vigorous workout at their computers. They would then be teleported to his dungeon and sapped of all their energy.

J.B. gets captured while in a lengthy session of 'installing a graphics program'. Kaitlin notices J.B. being dragged into the computer and alerts Ryan about the situation. They both go to Professor Hart's lab to see if he could help.

It is only a coincidence that the black guy of the group gets put in chains.
Just a coincidence...

Professor Hart finds J.B. in the virtual world and teleports Ryan to the dungeon. Ryan bursts through about thirty of Grimlord's minions before unhooking J.B. and escaping. Ryan faces off against SlashBot, a samurai themed robot, and defeats it with an atomic dropkick off the turnbuckle. Everyone is now safe and we can all breathe a little easier knowing that our favorite websites won't purposely send us to prison. THE END

SlashBot getting ready to slash it up.

I liked this episode. The intro was a little weird, but everything else in the plot was on point and escalated very well. The only downside to this one was the lack of impact to the overall story. I would still recommend this episode just for the dungeon brawl alone.

Pretty much my dad when he is playing videogames.
