For the first time, legendary Sonic the Hedgehog rock band Crush 40 are bringing their upcoming "Speed Of Sound" World Tour to Australia in August 28th 2027 for a concert at the Liberty Hall in Sydney. This will mark the first (and possibly last?) time the band will play in Australia, so make sure to get your tickets now!
Expect to hear all your favourite Crush 40 theme tunes like "Open Your Heart", "Live And Learn", "I Am All Of Me", "Sonic Heroes", "What I'm Made Of" and more.
Support acts have yet to be announced. Judging by a recent Crush 40 concert in January 2026 at MagFest, they've still got it. It may be a different backing band, but these guys sound incredible, and with Johnny Gioeli still fronting the band on vocals, it will mark his first time ever for visiting Australia.
Gioeli has helped keep the legacy of Crush 40 alive for the past decade and a half while Jun Senoue has been busy performing with his own band, the Sonic Adventure Music Experience. While S.A.M.E. seem to focus their entirety of touring in Japan, Johnny Gioeli has been taking his version of Crush 40 around the globe with a great talent of musicians with him. We look forward to seeing what the Crush 40 Speed of Sound tour will bring around the world in 2027 with Immersive, Standard, and Acoustic performances to be expected in various places around the globe..
