Rare Early Footage Of Sonic Heroes Discovered

 

 

Rare early footage of Sonic Heroes on the Playstation 2 has been discovered by the Sonic fan website SOAH City, one of the leading places for Sonic the Hedgehog news and updates. The footage in this prototype is quite unique to early builds and there are significant differences to the final game. 

SOAH City reveals that this brief but very interesting vision includes the following changes, different water and background texture, no character shadows, Nintendo Gamecube button prompt still remains (despite it being a Playstation 2 port), common slowdowns, glitchy / broken textures and broken ring collection features.

This discovery is a major find to people who are very interested in early development of video games such as this.

SOAH City states that the footage was included in previews of PlayZone's upcoming titles for 2003.
