Choushinsei Flashman Ep. 1: Hurry! Save the Earth - Summary/Review

Well this is different, a request from Orange. Choushinesei Flashman or Supernova Flashman, the 10th Super Sentai (counted as 8th before 1995) and one I actually know nothing about prior to going into. A small amount of research shows this is the first season to have more than 1 giant robot which is, sort of groundbreaking. Enough guessing though, click "read more" and let's find out what this season has in store.

Fatal Labyrinth (Sega Genesis) Review

Not everything needs to be fair. Fatal Labyrinth is a fantasy dungeon crawling game for the Sega Genesis in which the player explores randomly generated dungeons in a top-down layout. Everything is turn based. Nothing on the screen moves unless the player moves. This gives the game a bit more of a table-top Dungeons and Dragons type feel. Players have all the time they need to obsess over the randomly dropped gear before taking the next step into combat.

Green Phoenix - Aladdin (1992) Review

  • A Walt Disney Pictures Production
  • Produced and Directed by Ron Clements & John Musker
  • MPAA Rating: G
  • Running Time: 90 Minutes

BACKGROUND
In 1988, Disney lyricists Howard Ashman and Alan Menken proposed a musical adaptation of The Book of One-Thousand and One Nights. Though initially rejected in favor of an adaptation of a Hans Christian Andersen fable called The Little Mermaid, the two would continue to develop the idea through 1989 and 1990.

Following Ashman’s death in 1991, The Walt Disney Animation Studios found itself riding high off the recent financial and critical successes of The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast and ready to begin production on Ashman’s passion project.

Pokemon Sky Legends Booster Box Opening (Japanese Set) OWC #2

Time for another article about Pokémon cards.  This is Obsessions With Cardboard issue #2.  You know when you are deep into the game, when you buy yourself a Japanese booster box just for certain cards that would've cost more than buying the booster box itself.  Thankfully, I'm not that deep into the game. No! I bought this booster because the series itself looked very nice and couldn't wait for the English edition to come out.  That's not to say that this whole set will be released in English.  Some of the cards are very "interesting" to say the least, to the point where I doubt that they'll get released outside of Japan.  I purchased this set from an independent Australian card shop called Collectable Madness.  (Check them out.)  Anyway, enough time wasting, let's see what I got in this Sky Legends booster box. Why I Hate Awareness Months

As the end of National Sadness Month draws near, I'm reminded of a distant past known as my own depression. My life would have been very different if I followed the typical road these awareness events encourage because my mental illness wasn't based on 'erratic chemicals' in the brain. I was being eaten alive and nobody knew what was wrong. I hope this story will help you understand that there is more to mental health than throwing your life at a pill pusher and hoping for the best. Sometimes, something is actually wrong and YOU need to fix it.

Uchuu Keiji Gavan Episode 13 Review: Plot-Twist Procrastinator in...Retsu In Peril!!!

Imprisoned for a crime he sort of committed, a Doubleman is given one chance at freedom. Kill Gavan, or die trying. Yeah, that's it. This episode is 22 minutes long and the entire premise is a Doubleman, the kind you've seen easily die for the last 11 episodes, somehow has a plan to potentially defeat Gavan. Will he be able to do it? Probably not, but let us humor the show and find out.

Red Diamond: 5 Hobbies I Use to Cope With Racing Thoughts (Anxiety)

Have you ever felt like a burden? Like everyone around you would be better off if you disappeared? I could explain to you why that isn't true, but will your mind let you hear it? I know what causes this, your memory is too good. Every little regret flashes before your eyes constantly and the mind cannot stop thinking about "what ifs" or an "if only". Self esteem is almost non existent so you're as nice and giving as possible because you crave praise or approval. No, I'm not describing you, I'm describing myself. My gem is red for death. Frequent thoughts of disappearing, but at the same time, fearing it, hypocritically.

This is a taste of my story of mental illness. My mind never slows down on its own, but through therapy and personal hobbies, I have managed to live with it this long. Right now, I'm gonna list 5 of these things/hobbies that help me cope with my anxiety and a brief explanation why.

Depression and Gaming: Five Games That Help to Calm Me Down. Uncensored.

You know, depression sucks, it really fucking sucks.  Fucking abusive humans, life, internet rivals, nasty flashbacks of my childhood in Tasmania, nasty flashbacks of when I was nearly murdered a few years ago, annoying trends, shitty ex-co-workers (who are probably cumming in their pants just from reading that), ignorant people that just tell me to just "get over it" without having a slight understanding of what depression is, all this really stresses the fuck out of me.  It's no surprise that I suffer from anxiety, depression, and PTSD.  I really find it hard to relax but if there's one thing that does calm me down, it is video games.  Despite certain people (mainly doctors, therapists, and teachers) telling me that playing games won't do anything (those people are fucking wrong by the way) it gives me a calm sense of tranquility.  Something that makes me briefly forget about the stresses of the world and all of the fucking bullshit that I've been through in life.  Okay, obviously not all video games calm me down but there are a bunch of games that I go to for the feeling of heaven in this hell that's called Earth.  Hi, I'm James T... No, I'm my real self today.  Hi, I'm Samuel James Absolom and these are five games that calm me down when I feel depressed. (Click on "Read More" to read the full article.)
