Drew Carey's Green Screen Show - A look back at a failed show

Here is a short lived Improv Comedy show I have found memories of, only lasting 12 episodes + the pilot. Airing from fall 2004-2005 on WB and Comedy Central, this show was created by Drew Carey after Whose Line is it Anyway had finished its run and the show easily felt like a continuation as it featured several of the same games and cast. So, click "read more" and let us take a look back at this failed experiment.

Sonic Movie Sequel Ideas - Red Shard Prime

So I posted my review on the Sonic movie and went into great detail about what I thought of the film.  However, as the ending set up the way for a sequel and the movie is doing well enough, I want to express my thoughts on what I feel would be good for a sequel and what I feel should be some ideas to go through with and ones to not go through with, at least not for the second film.

Also, MASSIVE SPOILERS, so heads up!

Pokemon TCG - Unified Minds. OWC: The Lost Episode.

Unified Minds has been out for a little while now.  So, this post is late to the party.  There's a very good reason behind that.  What is that reason? Most importantly is what juicy pulls did I get from this set?  Find out in this special lost episode of Obsessions With Cardboard.  (Click on "Read More" to read the full article.)

Red Prime Shard: Surge Soda pop (Amazon) - Review

Anyone remember when the Coca-Cola drink: Surge was available in the 90s and for a while in the early 2000s?  It had a very 90s logo that came off as graffiti and hand painted, and it was delicious.  It was one of my favorite drinks in the 90s.  The commercials were weird with single can or bottle of Surge being set up as a prize, someone yells “SURGE” and then we see people race and compete for the drink, and it was advertised as a fully loaded citrus soda with carbos with the tagline being “Feed The Rush” and using signs of extreme sports to really make it an EXTREME drink for a 90s audience.  Honestly, I think a whole fridge or cooler of Surge would make more sense for these if we were to “Feed The Rush.”  About a year later, the logo changed to a more digital one that would clearly be made in a computer and for the most part, I think that one would work for a more mainstream audience, but there was a special charm about the original, and it seems Coca-Cola thought so as well since they used the old logo for the revival.  The drink was made as a competitor to Pepsi’s Mountain Dew and originally created with the codename MDK (Mountain Dew Killer), and for a while, it had a following, but then was eventually discontinued in 2003.  So with the revival version released, I wanted to try it again, but didn’t get the chance until recently.

Revenge of the Unbroken Bonds! - OWC #3

On the first edition of Obsessions With Cardboard, I opened up some Unbroken Bonds Pokémon cards (among other stuff).  It's a very good set but sadly I didn't really get any of the super hard to get stuff.  Maybe this will change in this edition of OWC because I have more Unbroken Bonds to open.  This is also an opening that's a bit more special than opening a standard pack.  What I've got to show today is the Unbroken Bonds Build and Battle deck.  What's inside? Pokemon Sky Legends Booster Box Opening (Japanese Set) OWC #2

Time for another article about Pokémon cards.  This is Obsessions With Cardboard issue #2.  You know when you are deep into the game, when you buy yourself a Japanese booster box just for certain cards that would've cost more than buying the booster box itself.  Thankfully, I'm not that deep into the game. No! I bought this booster because the series itself looked very nice and couldn't wait for the English edition to come out.  That's not to say that this whole set will be released in English.  Some of the cards are very "interesting" to say the least, to the point where I doubt that they'll get released outside of Japan.  I purchased this set from an independent Australian card shop called Collectable Madness.  (Check them out.)  Anyway, enough time wasting, let's see what I got in this Sky Legends booster box. OWC #1 $200 Pokemon Card Mystery Box Unboxing.

Hello, ladies, gentlemen, and un-binary.  Welcome to the first edition of OWC with your pal, I, Kaiser Sensei.  What is OWC? It's not a backyard wrestling federation or the band that peformed How Bizarre.  (That was OMC.)  OWC stands for Obsessions With Cardboard.  This is the place where I talk about card games.  In this edition, I'll be typing about something that I had recently bought.  Yup, I've done the crazy and spent $200 on a mystery box full of Pokémon TCG products.  What's inside?  Click on "Read More" to read the full article and find out.

Archie's Funhouse. Cartoon Review.

C'mon in!  It's time to open up the cartoon vault and take a deep dive for some of the more older and forgotten about cartoons.  What I got for you today is a review on a show that you may not have heard of, from a series that you know, Archie.  If you didn't know about him from the well loved comic, you will know him from that hip new show, Riverdale.  Yes, there were Archie shows before Riverdale.  Hell! Riverdale isn't even the first live action Archie, but we won't be talking about Archie: The Movie in this article.  (AKA Archie: To Riverdale and Back Again. As it was known outside of Australia.)  That'll have to wait until I can track down a good conditioned video tape.  (Click on "Read More" to read the full article.)

Sponge-Bong Hemp-Pants - Episodes 1 - 3. Summary/Review

So it has come to this, eh.  Kaiser Sensei reviewing a series of SpongeBob parody skits called SpongeBong HempPants.  Yup, I'm doing Green Diamonds job.  I'm not going to go over the history of this parody, who do I look like? Nicktendo? (Seriously.  Check him out).  No! I'm just going to do what I always do and report what I see and how I felt about it.  Yeah, I know it's pointless to do something like this on a series that runs for less than ten minutes.  However, Red Diamond requested this and I don't want him punishing me.  So, here it is.  Kaiser Sensei's summary and review of Spongebong HempPants. (Click on "Read More" to read the full article).
