This is a strange list I'm sure. What I mean by bases are the places that the Rangers and their mentors go in order to conduct their Ranger business. Typically, an Ultrazord is given to the combination of 7 or more Zords, although they sometimes have different names like Gigazords. These machines exist simply to be the Rangers big super power houses that drastically overpower most monsters and are often a mystery as to why the Rangers don't use them for the start of giant battles. Well, now that I am done counting down my favorite Zords, I may as well talk about my least favorite. Technically a worst list, but I can't think of any Zords I actively dislike, so there was no way I could do this for each color like my favorites. So, pressing myself hard, I will count down my bottom 5 least liked Zords. Any type of Zord or group of Zords is fair game this time, so click "read more" and let's get started.
Time for the Red Rangers' Zords. One might think the leader would always get the stand out Zord, and sometimes times they do. But, surprisingly, there are a lot of re-used concepts for Zords among seasons and that can be off putting when trying to compare them. From T-Rex's to birds and way too many borgs. Granted, this is more of a problem for countdowns like this and not necessarily the individual seasons. But, risks were clearly kept to a minimum for the Red Rangers. Save the lone warrior Zords for 6th and Extra Ranger I supposed; whom are not allowed on this list. Regardless, click "read more" and let's begin the countdown.
Black Rangers are one of the less common ranger colors and most of the memorable ones fall into the 6th/extra ranger category. So, pickings for this list are slimmer than normal, but still a fair enough to fill 5. Simple rules, core rangers only, only 1 Zord per ranger, and Zords that belong to Black Rangers only, not any Zord that happens to be black. So, click "read more" and let's get this going.
Green, there is a color with a lot of fans. The Green Ranger has been everything from a 6th Ranger, to second in command, the comic relief, and sometimes just another ranger of the core team. Their Zords often reflect these roles and have some variety to pick from. Now, with this list I have to stress the rules, no 6th or Extra Rangers and the Zords have to belong to Green Rangers, not Zords that are colored green. Pink Rangers are notorious for getting the short end of cool Zord designs. Looking through the list, it is honestly upsetting to see how many of them don't look like anything more than a piece of a Megazord or a generic vehicle. Needless to say, don't expect many to have any solo action highlights. Regardless, let's count down my personal top 5.
It's my first article of 2022, happy New Year. I'm gonna count down my top 5 favorite Megazords. This is going to be based purely on the design and will say nothing about the quality of the season attacked to them. Continuing on the Zord countdowns, allow me to list some Yellow power. Not too much to say on this one, there weren't many Yellow Rangers that stand out highly in my nostalgic mind. Not one of my favorite colors. Regardless, as an adult I have come to appreciate them more. (Not that any have ever been yellow.)
Well, this list is a tricky situation. My rules for these countdowns have been only 1 Zord per Ranger and no Extra or 6th Rangers. However, if you don't count Extra or 6th Rangers than there has only been 3 White Rangers so, following those rules would be impossible without limiting this list to 3. So, just this once I am going to have to break a rule, I will allow Extra Rangers but no 6th, which still barely puts us at 5 Rangers. So, click "read more" and let us see what is left.
Continuing the Zord countdowns, we are feeling blue today. It is honestly hard to choose out of the blue Zords because they rarely get spotlight episodes outside of their introductions. So, we are going to have to depend a lot on design for these choices, among other lists. Click "read more" to see my list.
I already counted down my favorite rangers of each color, now it is time to do the same thing with their zords. The 6th Rangers get their own separate list because their zords are supposed to stand out from the core rangers so it is unfair to put them in the same lists as their corresponding colors. So, let's begin with my favorite Zords that are under the control of rangers meant to standout.
These are heroes that aren't technically Power Rangers, but still part of the team. This should be a more fun list. Click "read more" for my full article. (Debatably, a couple of them made their way onto the Black Rangers lists, but I considered those 2 rangers.)
Some ranger colors, mainly purple, are so rare that they don't even have 5 to pick from. So, let's scrape together some of them and see what kind of top 5 this will be. Click "read more" for the full article. One rule, a different shade doesn't count. So, no navy or darker reds.
Now it is time for the blue rangers. This is one of the more variety options to choose from as blue rangers have been the brains, the brawn, the girl, second in command, and sometimes ex-red rangers. So, I'll give it my best shot, click "read more" and let's see if this gives you the blues.
Yellow Rangers were a pretty even split with male and female in Japan, but mostly female in America. A flexible role on the team, could be the sweetheart, the tomboy, a muscle, the loveable gullible one, or a number of other roles. Sadly, few Yellow Rangers are given a chance to standout and shine even if they are good characters. It was not an easy list to make, but click "read more" if you want to see it.
