Power Rangers - Top 5 Green Rangers

Continuing on our quest to list the best of every colored ranger, let's tackle the fan favorite, green. Now, there are a lot of great green rangers so this list was actually pretty difficult. However, I am only here to give my opinion. Rules are standard, any ranger who was multiple colors can only make 2 lists at most, also I am going by what they are officially classified as regarding colors. With that out of the way, click "read more" and let's get on with the list.

Power Rangers: Top 5 Black Rangers

This will be the start of a series of top 5s I do for all ranger colors. There is no special reason why I am starting with Black. Just keep in mind, this is is purely my opinion and will more than likely not lineup with who consider the best black Rangers or your personal favorites. Instead of flaming, please leave a comment on who your favorites are. Two rules, I am going off what a Ranger is officially classified as, so the 6th Zeo Ranger is gold not black, and anybody who was multiple colors can only appear on 2 lists at most. (Looking at you Tommy.) Now, click "read more" and let's start the countdown. Spoilers!

Top 5 Hamburger Moments in Video Games

This is a very odd idea for a countdown, but one I have wanted to do for no other reason then a love of burgers and games. It is hard to really give "rules" for this list other then it has to be in a video game and something needs to have happened where a hamburger was an important factor. Why top 5? Simply because, that is all I could find in my experience. So, click "read more" and let us see what there is.

Green Phoenix - Songs That Sound Like Bond Themes

I have now reviewed two James Bond films and one of the elements that I haven't quite been able to speak on, but am deeply excited to explore once we reach it in the third film in the series Goldfinger is the theme songs.

The unique theme songs have always been an iconic element of the franchise and the first and best way to distinguish one movie from another. It is so essential to the James Bond franchise that more often than not, the first thing asked when a new Bond film is announced after who is playing Bond is usually who is performing the opening theme.

Given that the James Bond series is such a cultural touchstone and the music is tied so definitively into that identity, it should come as no surprise that other musicians will often draw inspiration from the iconic sounds of the Bond franchise in their own songs. This is what I mean when I talk about a song that sounds like a "Bond theme". That unique mix of eroticism and action that is distinctly Bond is what I am searching for in this list of songs that, to my ear, sound so much like the themes to James Bond films.

Green Phoenix - 8 Amazing Anime Openings

I've always been fairly picky when it comes to the anime that I choose to watch. I have just had too many situations where I was uncomfortably surprised with an anime that I really didn't want to watch. This is particularly the case with anime that deals in horror elements, as I am a chickenshit coward when it comes to anything remotely scary, and Japanese anime can be very scary to me.

To avoid getting caught unaware, I often have to rely on the openings of the show in order to give me a good sense of the show's general nature and outlook. This has resulted in me oftentimes finding the openings of anime almost as entertaining as the show itself. Thus the reason for this particular countdown.

This will not be some exhaustive list of the greatest anime openings, but rather an opportunity for me to talk about some amazing anime openings and hopefully inspire you to check out some amazing anime if you haven't already.

Green Phoenix - 8 Amazing Non-Disney Animated Film Tracks

Let's be completely honest. When you think of animated music, it is almost a guarantee that the first song you will think of is likely produced by the Walt Disney Company. Ever since the Disney Renaissance of the 1980s and 1990s, the company has had a nearly undefeated stranglehold on the cultural zeitgeist when it comes to animated musicals. So prevalent is this perception that many of the non-Disney animated films from that period, like Fox Animation's Anastasia, are often thought of as Disney films by audiences.

So this got me thinking. Why don't I spend an article going over some of my personal favorite non-Disney animated musical scores? I can give some attention to some songs or movies that maybe don't get thought about as much as they should, and it gives me a chance to geek out about some of my favorite film tracks.

A win-win if ever I've heard it.

So after the break and a quick overview of the rules for this countdown, we will take a look at 8 incredible non-Disney animated film tracks.

Green Phoenix - 8 Epic Video Game Tracks

I have never been much of a video game player. I did play a bit when I was younger and I still enjoy the occasional computer game now and again, being a big fan of simulation and RTS games. But the real draw that I have to video games is the immersive cinematic quality that so many possess, especially as the technology and financing as grown to enable that level of narrative story-telling.

And much like films and television, a key element to a cinematic experience in video games is the music that accompanies it. While most early games at pretty basic 8-bit musical sections, as technology and visuals advanced, so to did the musical compositions. And the effect was some truly stellar and epic video game music tracks.

And it is these tracks that will be the focus of today's article. Today we will countdown, in no particular order, and highlight 8 absolutely epic video game tracks. Those musical pieces that you find yourself listening to completely outside of the gaming experience. The songs that get played over and over again or seem to represent the very thematic heart of the game in question.

Today is going to be a hell of a lot of fun and I hope you all will join me in geeking out about some of the coolest sounding video game music I can think of.

6 Times Power Rangers and Super Sentai Referenced Each other

Power Morphicon 2014

This is a strange countdown but a topic I have a lot of fun with. Both shows are fully aware of each others existence (obviously) and here are a few moments that only fans of both shows would most likely pick up on.

My Top 8 References to Power Rangers/Super Sentai in Other Media

This is a silly little topic but one fans, including myself, have a lot of fun with. Both shows have been referenced so allow me to count down 8 of them that I have encountered in other shows and games. Why 8? Because there are so many references out there that I decided to limit to only ones that I personally came across as that makes them easier to comment on. If you want to see all of them, try this link.

Green Phoenix - 8 Favorite Ships

I have an admission to make and given what day it is, I felt like this was as good a time as any to admit this.

I am an unrepentant shipper and a hopeless romantic.

I absolutely adore romance stories in fiction and will actively seek out, or even construct relationships whole cloth, if I feel that the chemistry is present. And when it comes to fanfiction, romances make up the lion's share of my reading history. I just love the narrative depths and dramatic opportunities that romance, including both the pre- and post-start of a relationship.

That being said, I do have certain preferences and patterns with regards to my shipping tendencies. I adore slow burns and long-term chemistry, relishing in the characters enjoying their relationship beyond the first admissions.

But on the same note, I abhor many of the cliches that other shippers live for. So I thought that we could celebrate this Valentine's Day by taking a look at the fictional relationships that are either my favorite or have had the biggest impact on my preferences for romantic subplots in fiction.

Red Diamond: My top 10 Best Incarnations of Power Rangers

Here is a countdown I feel needs to be gotten out of the way. There is a lot of diversity when it comes to "best" seasons of Power Rangers, but this list is purely my opinion. Many people and websites will disagree and that is perfectly fine. One note, rather than "season", I'm listing "incarnations" because some have multiple seasons and this makes it easier. So, click "read more" and let's go.

My Top 5 Worst Incarnations of Power Rangers

I'm not usually a hater of things as I try to find the good. However, even a beloved franchise has its low moments. While there aren't 10 incarnations of Power Rangers that I actively dislike, I can at least force out 5. So, let's click "read more" to see my personal top 5 worst picks that are probably not very uncommon choices.

10 Ways Youtubers Get Away With Stealing Videos

Well, this is an unusual topic for this website. However, being an advocate of watching YouTube and amateur uploader of content, video theft is something I have seen personally on more than a rare occasion and it bothers me. So, in order to help bring awareness, I've decided to count down 10 ways I have seen YouTubers steal videos. My one regret sadly, is that I will have to give examples. While I loath the idea of giving any type of promotion to stolen content, it is necessary to prove my point, but I will keep it at a minimum. I'll say this now, it is not an innocent "tribute" to someone once you hit the monetize button. That being said, click "read more" for the full list.

Red Diamond: 5 Hobbies I Use to Cope With Racing Thoughts (Anxiety)

Have you ever felt like a burden? Like everyone around you would be better off if you disappeared? I could explain to you why that isn't true, but will your mind let you hear it? I know what causes this, your memory is too good. Every little regret flashes before your eyes constantly and the mind cannot stop thinking about "what ifs" or an "if only". Self esteem is almost non existent so you're as nice and giving as possible because you crave praise or approval. No, I'm not describing you, I'm describing myself. My gem is red for death. Frequent thoughts of disappearing, but at the same time, fearing it, hypocritically.

This is a taste of my story of mental illness. My mind never slows down on its own, but through therapy and personal hobbies, I have managed to live with it this long. Right now, I'm gonna list 5 of these things/hobbies that help me cope with my anxiety and a brief explanation why.

Depression and Gaming: Five Games That Help to Calm Me Down. Uncensored.

You know, depression sucks, it really fucking sucks.  Fucking abusive humans, life, internet rivals, nasty flashbacks of my childhood in Tasmania, nasty flashbacks of when I was nearly murdered a few years ago, annoying trends, shitty ex-co-workers (who are probably cumming in their pants just from reading that), ignorant people that just tell me to just "get over it" without having a slight understanding of what depression is, all this really stresses the fuck out of me.  It's no surprise that I suffer from anxiety, depression, and PTSD.  I really find it hard to relax but if there's one thing that does calm me down, it is video games.  Despite certain people (mainly doctors, therapists, and teachers) telling me that playing games won't do anything (those people are fucking wrong by the way) it gives me a calm sense of tranquility.  Something that makes me briefly forget about the stresses of the world and all of the fucking bullshit that I've been through in life.  Okay, obviously not all video games calm me down but there are a bunch of games that I go to for the feeling of heaven in this hell that's called Earth.  Hi, I'm James T... No, I'm my real self today.  Hi, I'm Samuel James Absolom and these are five games that calm me down when I feel depressed. (Click on "Read More" to read the full article.)

Top 5 General Differences Between Power Rangers and Super Sentai

Hello, Red Diamond here doing something a little different. This is the first countdown on the website and a pretty broad topic at that, however it is something I have a desire to cover. Power Rangers is a show creating using stock footage from Super Sentai, so naturally the two shows have a lot in common and have the same target audience. However, besides language there are some noticeable differences between the two franchises that fans love to debate. Every season can be compared to a great deal with its counterpart, however this list will be more general topics. So, without further delay, click "read more" and lets get the list started.

Disclaimer: This list is purely opinion based and is not to be taken as fact. Also, this picks will be things that apply to each show as a whole so no differences that are season exclusive.
